MY STORY
Welcome to TIE PILOT DIVISION! My name is Elias and I live in Stockholm, the capitol
of Sweden which is situated in Europe for all of you that didn't already know. I became enchanted by Star Wars
at the age of seven when I watched the first movie on video with my brother after having played with his old
Star Wars toys for an entire day. I have been more or less obsessed with it ever since and started off collecting vintage
Star Wars toys the same year. This was in the beginning of the 90's and Star Wars suffered from its only known period
of forgotteness. Of course, the enthusiasts were collecting and gathering like always but the big mass only remembered
Star Wars as one of those space trilogies from the 70's and 80's. Hence, buying old collections of vintage toys was not
so expensive so I ended up with a quite impressive collection at the age of nine.
In the middle of the 90's, the Star Wars special editions came and the hysteria awoke again. People
even spoke of three new movies that were supposed to be made but most of us just dismissed it as plain rumours...
As said, I have been collecting more or less actively ever since that day when I first saw Star Wars
but I have still changed my attitude towards it over the years. Earlier, I collected everything that had a Star Wars logo
but decided to give that up since I realized that I theoretically without problems could spend more than $10 million
a month and still look at an endlessly growing pile of Star Wars items which I didn't have. So I rethought and decided to
collect imperial soldiers instead (Stormtroopers, TIE Pilots, Biker Scouts, AT-AT Drivers and Snowtroopers). I have always
been deeply into these characters which can be seen by the numerous pictures of Stormtroopers and TIE Fighters I drew
as a kid. However, I felt that I wanted to specialize a little bit more and I soon began collecting TIE Pilots which by
far, if you ask me, are the coolest characters throughout the entire movies. Just listen to the sound of their ships!
Nowadays, I still collect TIE Pilots and sometimes other imperial soldier merchandise and TIE Fighters as well...
I have created this page inspired by several reasons. First of all, my main idea is to have this page as
a kind of database for my own collecting, in order to keep track of what I have and what I don't.
As a bonus on top of this comes that others as well can see what I have for sale and what I'd like to buy.
Finally, I want it to be a resource page for any other TIE Pilot enthusiasts there might be out there! This page is in
no way a definite source and I strongly urge anyone who sees errors, missing facts or anything else that is worth to
